Pete Hayns Documentary Lighting Cameraman

I'm an experienced documentary lighting cameraman with a varied background encompassing adventure, wildlife, science, arts & history projects.

Having studied Zoology, I started out in television at a camera facilities house in London and went on to freelance as a camera assistant on a range of quality programmes catching the tail-end of 16mm film.

The flexibility to shoot in a variety of styles, be it hand-held observational, lit set-ups, presenter pieces-to-camera or wildlife sequences is coupled with an ambition to incorporate new technology so as to enhance but not dominate a film. I'm lucky enough to have travelled widely, often working in extreme and challenging environments.

I have 2 UK Passports & valid I-Visa for filming in the US.
